MMMmmmm me again ... same day different blog.. actually i don't like to put many ideas in 1 entry.. LOL.. sshheeeessshhh it just me! well i like to know what's in people mind. Few months ago i read our local newspaper (KOMPAS) and there was an article about Irshad Manji and her new book: Beriman Tanpa Rasa Takut; Tantangan Umat Islam Saat ini (the original one is The Trouble With Islam Today: A Wake-Up Call For Honesty and Change). After i read the article, i found that it must be interesting to read her book.. yeah i've told you that i like to know what's in people mind so i don't want to underestimate or to make a judgement upon her writing.
So i bought her book and i read it. I was AMAZED by her thoughts and the way she wrote the book!!! I think it was very "vulgar" and "out-spoken" but that was coming from her heart and her mind! BRAVO! The book is about her questions like why we must do this and we may not do this as a muslim, Is it only for Middle East area (Islam), Culture of Middle East related to Islamic Culture, Islam vs Judaism, etc.
For some degrees, i like the way she wrote it. She wrote it as if it is her "diary" about her experiences related to her belief but on the other hand, i also found or at least it aroused some questions from my side. How brave she is in giving her thoughts to public! The point is that sometimes we have to see our neighbour's garden when we want to make our garden to be better, you know wot i mean right!
