Angry Birds is a simple game but very addictive :) , well at least to me it is very addictive!!! too bad if you download it through Ovi Store you must pay to get full version.

Nokia N8 - Review

Hello again...

I've been using my new Nokia N8 for 6 days now... So far so good, it means i like this smartphone so much!

There are several points that i like to share about my Nokia N8 with you guys..

1. OS. Symbian^3 is running smoother in N8 compare to Symbian 60 5th version in N97 (both are touchscreen smartphone).

2. Touchscreen.  Compare to resititive touchscreen in N97, I feel more comfortable with AMOLED capacitive touchscreen in N8 because i don't have to be worried when i touch it and when i am using my N8 outside the room at noon, i still can see or read my N8 menu.

3. Camera. 12 Megapixels Camera + Xenon flash is really a big deal for me! i don't have to bring my digital camera anymore. Front camera for video call also brighter. When i made a video with N8, the video run smooth in HD quality.

4. Photo + Video. I can edit my photos and videos in my N8. There is applications for such things which is already integrated in N8. I love it!!!

5. Ovi Maps. I can download maps + navigation for free at ovi maps!!!

6.  Messaging. N8 provide you with conversation SMS display mode. It is more fun when i read my sms in conversation mode.

7. E-mail. with push mails feature i can receive all e-mails just like i receive sms.

8. Quickoffice. Quickoffice is not in full feature, TOO BAD!!! I must buy the licence to get full feature of quickoffice!!!

Next time, I will try to review softwares for N8

Finally... i've made my mind and YES... yesterday i went to a mall and order for my own N8 at Nokia Store... Ooffffff i can't wait to get my own N8 so i can try it by myself!!! I hope i won't find any flaws in that smartphone... well no matter what I LOVE NOKIA..

Last saturday i went to a mall n i visit NOKIA STORE, well that's actually my intention to go to the mall to check Nokia Store for brand new N8. Gosh.. i like that gadget ah well smartphone! It was my first time to see nokia touchscreen smartphone with capacitive touchscreen.. i felt like i was touching Iphone.. 

Unfortunately, if we want to buy that N8 we must order it first and wait for few days to get that smartphone. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF THINKING TO ORDER IT hahahhaa.... i still got 2 more days to think because the order session will be closed on Oct. 14th.

Today is the first day of Ramadan and i feel so excited because finally i could meet again with Ramadan and i also feel that Ramadan this year will be the most unforgetable Ramadan because i will go Umroh with my mom, Insha Allah.

I can't wait for this friday 13th 2010... i feel so so sooooooo excited!!! If everything runs smooth and according to schedule, i will go on Friday 13th 2010 and fly with Saudi Airlines at 15.00 from Jakarta to Jeddah. I really wanna see Ka'bah and kiss Hagar Aswad and do all my prayers in the holy land, Insha Allah.

Waiting for Umrah Visa...

It's been awhile for me not to write anything in my blog.. well, i was kind of lazy :(

This Ramadhan 2010 i am planning to go Umrah with my mom... now i am waiting for the visa, i hope i could get the visa because i really want to visit the most holy land for muslim all around the world and that is Mecca. I wanna see Ka'bah and do my prayers in front of it, i wanna kiss Hagar Aswad (black rock/stone from heaven), Insha Allah.

Semitic Language...

I always interested in learning people, cultures, languages... my interest, especially, is Mid-East Cultures and Languages or what so called as Semitic Language... It's given me a great challenge to learn these two languages because my mother tongue used to be in alphabetical orders or Latin written. However, to fulfill my own curiosity, i browsed the net and found Arabic and Hebrew alepbet.

Format Ulang Hp Nokia

Untuk memformat ulang, sebaiknya sediakan
•    nomor kode kunci ponsel
•    ketersediaan baterai ponsel atau lebih bagus lagi dicharge penuh sebelumnya.

Langkah- langkah pemformatannya (untuk ponsel dalam keadaan hidup)
1.    Ketikkan kode *#7370# (kalau *#7780# untuk kembali ke pengaturan awal), pilih ya untuk konfirmasi.
2.    Masukkan kode kunci ponsel, bila masih standar kodenya 12345 untuk hape Nokia
3.    Ponsel akan direstart, tunggu beberapa saat sampai format selesai.

Jika ponsel dalam keadaan mati langkah-langkahnya yakni:
1.    Tekan tombol hijau (tombol dial/panggil), tombol angka “3? , tekan tombol tanda bintang (*), pagar (#), dan tombol power secara bersamaan.
2.    masukkan kode kunci ponsel. Tunggu beberapa saat, format akan berjalan.

Setelah proses selesai, ponsel akan kembali bersih seperti baru.

Proximity Marketing

On today's meeting at the office, we discussed about our new project. Short story, it's about using and developing Bluetooth Technology in the Marketing Strategy... I found one marketing term which i never heard before, Proximity Marketing, and i was so curious about it! I googled it and i found the definition of it from the net...

Proximity marketing is the localized wireless distribution of advertising content associated with a particular place. Transmissions can be received by individuals in that location who wish to receive them and have the necessary equipment to do so.

Distribution may be via a traditional localized broadcast, or more commonly is specifically targeted to devices known to be in a particular area.

The location of a device may be determined by:

• A cellular phone being in a particular cell
• A Bluetooth or WiFi device being within range of a transmitter.
• An Internet enabled device with GPS enabling it to request localized content from Internet servers.

Communications may be further targeted to specific groups within a given location, for example content in tourist hot spots may only be distributed to devices registered outside the local area.

Communications may be both time and place specific, e.g. content at a conference venue may depend on the event in progress.

Uses of proximity marketing include distribution of media at concerts, information (weblinks on local facilities), gaming and social applications, and advertising.

Teras Coffee

Last Tuesday, February 2nd, i got an invitation to attend the premiere of JINX (Indonesian film) at Pejaten Village Mall (PVM) in South Jakarta from a friend of mine. Well i'm not going to discuss about the film because .....

There is one thing that i really like about that day, COFFEE. I like to try new "coffee spot" (that's my term of coffee shop or coffee cafe or whatever the name is). Soon after i watched the film, i and my friends went to a coffee spot (well one of the friend is the freelance marketer of TERAS COFFEE) which is not far from PVM. Usually i order Moccha Coffee when i visit Coffee Spot and that's what i ordered in Teras Coffee.

Before i talk much about Teras Coffee, i have some tips when we want to visit a cafe :
1. Try to order what is best from the cafe.
     I recommend you to order what is best from the cafe (at this point, do not consider the PRICE.. hehehe try not to be a price sensitive person), if it is a Coffee Spot then we better order Coffee Menu (all about coffee), when we come to a Tea House then we should try all about Tea, etc. I had some "bad" experience when i come to some places but i ordered different menu out side of what its best, the result is the taste was unbelievable!!! (silly me). ok that is the PAST.

2. Look at the price
     After we taste what we order then we decide whether the price is right or not.

3. The place
    Place is also important! When we come to a Coffee Spot, we want to be relaxed and chit chat with friends so we must put the cozyness of the place into consideration.

3. Decide to come again or not
    After we taste the menu, the price and we feel the atmosphere of the place then we decide whether to come again or not.

Back to Teras Coffee... I ordered Moccha Latte. The taste is good, well to me there is one spot, that i think, serves the best Moccha Coffee... The price in Teras Coffee is not too expensive (compare to the spot that i like) and the atmosphere inside of the cafe itself is very accommodating for me to be relaxed!
